About This Course

The objective of Module I - Introduction to Sustainable Finance and the Kenyan Sustainable Finance Principles is to familiarise yourself with the concept of sustainable finance and the intention of the Kenyan Sustainable Finance Principles.

We will consider the role of the financial sector as a catalyst for change in the way economies grow and develop and the response of the finance sector globally to the concept of sustainable finance before looking at the implications of the Kenyan Sustainable Finance Principles for your Bank.

First we explore the concepts of sustainable development and sustainable finance.
