About This Course

This module intends to describe new investment spaces and business opportunities emerging from the growing interest in sustainable finance.

After a brief introduction to some of the drivers encouraging green and equitable investing, this module examines a variety of ways public and private financial institutions worldwide and in Kenya are capitalizing on opportunities arising from innovative capital allocations and sustainable investments.

Specifically you will:

1. Be introduced to actors in the financial world who are working to expand market share, increase customer segments, strengthen foundations for business sustainability and enhance corporate reputation through sustainable finance interventions.
2. Consider how products emerging from a sustainable investing approach are growing momentum worldwide and might be or are already being applied in Kenya.
3. Appreciate how sustainable investing can generate corporate benefits in terms of enhanced brand reputation as well as returns, encouraging an inclusive and sustainable growth trajectory that benefits Kenya over the long-term.

Ultimately our aim is that this module will leave the reader thinking of sustainable finance as an opportunity rather than a constraint to current and future business performance and growth.
