About This Course

Kenya Sustainable Finance Principle 5 on Business Ethics and Values is specifically concerned with the Bank instituting business values and practices that build effective organisations to deliver value now and in the long term. It expects the board of directors and management to establish formal governance structures to oversee the Bank’s response to all the Principles and to adopt reporting and disclosure practices that provide information on matters that affect the Bank’s ability to create value both to itself and others over the short to long term.

This module aims to introduce you to good practice regarding:

  1. Oversight of the successful implementation of a Bank’s response to sustainability and in particular the Task of the Kenya Sustainable Finance Principles.
  2. Reporting frameworks for communicating your performance to stakeholders, with a particular focus on material non-financial matters to be integrated into the annual company reports.
